1. If your lover betrayed you what would your reaction be?
Betray him back in the most in-your-face fashion that I can think of. Or slap him, and the woman (or man?) he betrayed me for, hard across the face. Or maybe throw a a very hard object in his direction and aim to hurt. Or drop the drama altogether and simply walk away. As experience taught me, betrayals can be some form of divine intervention. Kinda like the universe’s way of telling me that I should know better than to be hanging out with a douchebag.
2. What is it that you see in an ideal partner?
If you’re waiting for me to say I want someone perfect – who has an impeccable taste in music, culture and fashion and all that – then you’re in for a disappointment. Though I’d be lying if I say I don’t want any of those. I like beauty, passion, excitement and wit as much as the next person but more than that, I want someone who can take my bullshit and tell me to my face that it’s bullshit and still want to be with me. Someone who won’t walk all over me or allow me to walk all over him either. Someone who can hold his own and be secure of his place with me or wherever.
3. What, according to you, is the perfect date?
Anyday when everything goes my way.
4. Would you like to have children soon enough? Or would you wait till your mid-thirties for the first child?
Hmmm. I don’t think I’m ready at this point to have a child of my own but I most certainly won’t wait until I’m 40 to have one. Or two. Yes, twins would be perfect.
5. Will you fall in love with your best friend?
The word “will” suggests something premeditated and i think falling in love just happens, so in the strict sense of the question, i don’t think so. Besides, I tell my friends all my dirty laundry so i don’t think he/she will fall for me knowing all that. Haha.
6. Which is more blessed: loving someone or being loved by someone?
Both can be really pleasant and painful at the same time. Imagine loving someone who cannot be bothered to love you back or having someone whom you don’t love, professing passionate love to you. I have experienced both, and it’s not fun.
7. How long do you intend to wait for someone you love?
Wait for them to what? Make a move? Grow up? Break up with their someone else? If these are the cases, I don’t wait. I move on.
8. If the person you secretly like is attached, what will you do?
Move on. I don’t covet another neighbor’s goods.
9. What do you think are the foundation stones of a good relationship?
You should be comfortable in your own skin, comfortable with each other, laugh a lot together, respect each other’s beliefs, nuances, and idiosyncrasies. The commitment follows automatically.
10. What according to you is the most beautiful thing about relationships or marriage?
Let’s talk about relationships coz I have no idea about marriage. I guess the beauty of relationships lie in the coziness of just being together, sharing each other’s passions and pain, and caring for each other’s welfare. It’s having someone hold your hand when you are jumping for joy and also when everything is falling apart.
11. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
I‘d be raising a child with husband. Haha. I refuse to make Jude’s prediction true, about me being a single mom. Haha. I’d prolly be working and doing semi-housewifey things like popping dinner in the microwave. Prolly will already have my Mini Cooper car. And a truck.
12. What’s your fear?
Losing my brains, which I feel is happening gradually. Read, dammit!
13. Would you rather be single and rich or married and poor?
What about married, rich, successful and extremely happy? I prefer that over married and poor anytime, all the time.
14. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously who will you pick?
I’m trying to remember if that has ever happened to me so that at least I’d be able to explain my choice and what became of it with much authority. Oh well. I guess my answer will be somewhat related to No. 6. I’ll pick the guy who loves me more and I’m equally passionate about.
15. Would you give all in a relationship?
So long as it doesn’t compromise my principles, identity and independence. So, it is a ‘yes’ and a ‘no’ as well. He can have all of me, why not, but my spirit is something I want to keep unhindered.
16. Would you forgive and forget someone no matter how horrible a thing he has done?
Forgive perhaps, but it will take a while. This brings us to forgetting, which is not likely to happen. At least while the brain cells that store that certain memory are still alive.
17. Do you prefer being single or in a relationship?
Gawd, I haven’t been single in a long time! Haha. Although I loved and reveled in my single status before, I must admit I love being in a healthy relationship. I like the idea of being someone’s someone. I like taking care of someone as much as I like being taken cared of. I like the comfort and warmth it brings, that even if you’re a thousand miles away, you never feel alone. =)
